Point well taken. This team is simply no fun to watch and discussion has pretty much dried up for now.

Dickerson seems to wait on the ball quite well. He has good bat speed and swings at the last possible moment. Generates excellent power that way.

He's very productive so far when he makes contact.

But of all these young hitters, Votto is the one who impresses me most. He makes consistent good contact. Bruce overmatched right now.

    Who won the game?

Volquez had trouble keeping SF off base (allowed 8 hits in 6 innings), but some shoddy defense by Phillips and Bruce led to 4 runs in the 4th after we had gone out in front by 4-0 on Edwin's grand slam. All of the 6 runs allowed by Edisonson were earned since no errors were given by the official scorer.

Both teams' defense has been less than desirable, though.

Riverside got crushed. That's the last time I'll watch them play this year.

Official scorers suck. This is two straight starts Volquez has been screwed by the official scorer. You would think clueless official scorer would favor Volquez in this case.

Volquez's ERA is now up to 3.04. It should be in the 2.75ish area if not for some incompetent official scoring in Volquez's last two starts. Seriously, I wish MLB would take care of that stuff instead of letting clueless homers make those decisions.
