Braves at Phillies underway - hope it is a great race between these two this year. Castellanos in the starting lineup.

I assume this is the appropriate thread to discuss non-Reds games. If not, please let me know.

Watching Realmuto gun down a runner trying to steal second - can't help but wonder where we'd be if we landed him when it was rumored we were in the running.

Also - Spencer Strider definitely did not skip leg day.

Hoskins for the Brewers slid hard into McNeil (Mets) at 2B. Drama ensues. Clean but hard slide, imo. And oh my, they're barkin' at each other. Should make for interesting ABs going forward!

McNeil is hitting cleanup for the Mets. I'm thinking that's a terrible idea.

Zack Wheeler looking unsurprisingly strong. Looks like we face him in game 6. At least he is a RH, so maybe we can ruin his day.

The bottom of the Phillies lineup is Stott, Castellanos, Marsh and Rojas. The Braves have Harris, Murphy, Arcia and Kelenic. That's absurd. Those lineups are titanic.

Agree, my friend. Everyone is looking at the NL west but the Braves/Phils battle could be epic.

Not sure our NL Central will be able to send more than one team to the playoffs.

Old friend Adam Duvall ties the game at 2-2 with a double.

If you compared the Braves entire roster to the Dodgers, I think I'm picking Atlanta. They are so deep and the pitching staff is better than LA

I hear ya, but gun to head - especially if Ohtani slithers out of his mess, I'd have to take LA.

Philly bullpen throwing gas on fire like there’s no tomorrow.

    1.2 IP, 5 BB, 9 ER.

Fortunately for Phillies, Marcel Ozuna whiffs to end the top of the 8th.

The Braves lineup just keeps coming, like a Terminator.

Worst record in baseball maybe because it’s somewhat dependent on the teams in your division. The worst team in baseball is the As and I am not sure it’s close. It’s true the Rockies could put a batting practice pitching machine on the mound and have the same success as any pitcher on the staff, but least they have a few MLB hitters like Jones, Bryant and Blackmon. Plus they have some pieces in the minors

The As have a bad staff, a worse lineup and despite being bad for a while the only top 100 prospect they have is Judy Jack Wilson. There is also that little problem of having nowhere to play in 161 more games

Is he still available for Jay Bruce?

Braves catcher, Sean Murphy, heads to the IL obliquely.
