Would be nice to have his right handed bat against lefties right now! In 20 at bats against lefties this year, he’s hitting .350, with two homers, and an 1.185 OPS.
So the Reds got rid of one of their best hitters against lefties and replaced him with Bubba Thompson. Great idea Mr. Krall

I agree, but that's only half the equation. They needed to replace him with another RH bat who similarly excels against LHP and would fit into the lefty heavy OF. There were several of those available for cheap over the winter.
I'm not sad to see Senzel go, but he needed to be replaced.

Senzel at least hit lefties well, but I was ok seeing him go. I think the moment Marte was suspended, the Reds should have made a move for a RH bat that at least hits lefties well. But they didn’t and sadly here we are.

Marte is a 3B and was here last year. He didn't replace Senzel. They need a capable RF who excels against LHP. So far, Marte isn't either of those things even if he was on the roster.
