Wonder who WVU targets to replace Huggins.

Andy Kennedy and Frank Martin both have experience replacing him (Kennedy at UC and Martin at K-State). Of the two I think Martin is more likely. Kennedy is from Mississippi and coaching UAB. I think he stays in the south.

Ron Everhart I think is the most likely option as an interim and then WVU goes for a full time replacement.

Random Trivia: Between the years 1951 and 1958, the Dayton Flyers finished runners-up 5 times! 5 times in 8 seasons. And this was when the NIT still meant something.

    Don't see it.

He lasted less than one season in the NBA because he couldn't adapt to the players in the league. How well do you think he would do with NIL and the transfer portal?

FYI, the NCAA has granted a 30 day window for players from WVU to enter the transfer portal in the wake of Huggins resigning.

I wouldn't be surprised if a coach isn't announced by sometime this week (likely Everhart) to keep the class intact.

The story is he and his wife didn't like Morgantown, I doubt he would come back. I think the try at the NBA was the last hurrah for him. He's 70 now, I don't think he's going to want to come back to college and have to hit the road recruiting.

Any vulture not circling should be fired. Taking advantage of situations like this one with WV is literally their job.

I was just throwing some big names out there. WVU can get whoever they want.

I hope. Hate the state of college sports right now but it is what it is. Jessie Edwards would be nice if Bradshaw is out longer and Tre Mitchell would shore up the potential loss of Antonio Reeves.

He probably is. He and Huggy are big buddies, so he probably directing them to Cal. College sports is such a mess. Especially basketball. A sport that demands continuity but has none at all right now.

I dunno. I like the NIL and transfer rules. It isn't quite a level playing field, but it is a heckuva lot better than it used to be.
